First time hunting

I went out to the beach today to use my new Discovery 1100 Bounty Hunter. I was wondering if I could get some tips on where the best spots on the beach are to hunt. At first I was getting alot of false readings so I turned down the sensitivity and it stopped. Is that normal on Floridas east coast?

This is normal with most BH machines...the salt in the sand causes false readings...
