First time Garrett user gets rare railroad dimes:rofl:

My relic hunting buddie that I mentioned in first post as having his clock cleaned every weekend since I got my 1500 in February finally
got his Garrett today. I found him a used 1350 and he took it out.
After about 15 minutes he called and said that he had two of the biggest old dimes that he had ever seen. He jumped in the truck and started driving, I met him half way at a store. He pulled the dimes out and I just cracked up laughing. He had two of the most perfectly run over by a train railroad Barber dimes that I have ever seen!
Two lessons to come out of this #1. Many Garretts get silver the first day and #2. The old narrow tracks did a lot better job at properly flattening coins then these new tracks. There is no doubt that I will have my hands full this weekend now that he has a Garrett.

Those sound like a cool find. I did find a quarter that some kid had pounded out at the trailer park. The only way I could tell it was a quarter was it still had some reeds left on it.
