First time Detectorist. First find, whatizit?

Just started detecting and found these on my first day. 1, 1964 50 cent peice and a ??? its got a loop on the back and a brass front wraped around a peice of steel..
 
Well the 1964 is SILVER..Congrats.:clapping: the other is a button
but thats all I can say....sorry:shrug:

Way to large to be a button. The loop and size are definitely the same as a rosette fro a horse bridle. Ive got one marked U.S. still on the bridle. Also another I dug with a floral pattern on it.
