First time - all around and excited

Howdy all,

Been reading the forums for several months now and finally got around to registering as I just ordered my AT Gold this morning from Bart over at Big Boys Hobbies. So this is my first post about my first detector! Dying to get it and get out there and scratchin' in the dirt.

I have always wanted to get a detector since I was 10 but its taken 31 years to finally get down to doing it. I have had several relatives that did it back in the 70's & 80's and I was intrigued and hooked all at the same time. Now, its just going to be an impossibly long wait for the mail to arrive and then to learn the ropes with it.

Congrats on getting a great detector and getting into a great hobby. Now once you dig your first good target(old coin, gold ring, silver ring,etc) you will be hooked for life. LOL Most improtant is to take your time to learn your detector and listen what it tells you. Not just beep and dig. H/H

Holy moly!!! Gotta say, I love Bart over at Big Boy Hobbies...I ordered my AT Gold yesterday morning and it got here this afternoon! Woot, woot!!! Got a pocket full of coins and headed outside for a bit to figure this out!!!
