First Texas customer service

Late last year I sent a message to FT asking about getting my Pioneer 505 fixed. I did not get a reply. Monday of this week I again sent an email and this time they said that if I cannot provide proof of purchase, they would have to charge me $20-$40 to fix the non-functioning battery charge indicator. I don't know if that includes the return postage or not. Do any of you know if the price quoted by FT includes shipping?

Thanks,

Mark

I would imagine they would tell you if you called them and asked.

I know the few times I have had to deal with them, they were always more than accommodating. I don"t think I have ever paid for any repair they have done once my machine was out of warranty. If I remember correctly, they even e-mailed me a shipping label free of charge.

Well Mitto, that is not how I am being treated. I am dealing with a fellow named Jesus and he is not too quick to respond. Yesterday I told him that I did want to pay to have the unit repaired but still have not gotten a return authorization number or an answer to my query about whether the $20-$40 included the shipping charges from them to me.

Perhaps the good old days of stellar customer service at First Texas are now just a memory.
