First tests with Vaquero

Did some air tests today with the vaquero and the eldorado.
Vaquero Nickel 12 to 13 inch, dime 10 inch.
Eldorado Nickel 9 inch, dime 9 inch.
Thats what i expected. The Vaquero is hotter on low conductive targets. On silver and copper the differance is not that much.
The results i got with the Vaquero are the same i got with the Tejon.Tests were done in disc mode at preset.
The Vaquero was very stable at full sensitivity.
I like the pinpoit button on the Vaquero and it's build with the same quality like the Eldorado.I like it better than the Tejon.

I had 3 tejons...hated em all. I did like the twitchy GB which the Tejon is the only tesoro that I ever had a twitchy GB. Also the threshold was unstable on all 3.
Have you tried to GB your V and see if it is easier to achieve than on teh Tejon.
Scott

Hi Scott,
the Vaquero is easy to GB like the Eldorado.
It feels more stable than the Tejon.
The whole detector feels like an Eldo with Tejon Power.

I have an Eldorado that I think has a depth problem. Air testing my detector in disc with sensitivity at max and disc set at the little arrow between iron and nickel, it's pretty much all over at 5" on a copper penny. <img src="/metal/html/sad.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":sad"> Just curious at what depth you lose a good beep on a penny with your Eldo. I've been hoping to get a good comparison from another Eldorado owner. I've tried all my coils and they don't seem to vary much either.
Thanks in advance!

then you've got a problem.
I took to the Eldorado when it first was released and have used all the various popular coils on them. At the 'preset' Disc. point I could "air test" a copper 1

It's not just GB and sensitivity.Your Threshold level is very important too.Set the Eldo to all metal and set the threshold to a slight hum.Turn the GB 4 times counterclockwise and after that 2 turns clockwise.Put it in disc now at preset, sensitivity to max and try again. You should get a dime, nickel or penny at 8 inch min.
If not..send it to tesoro..they will fix that for free.Warranty you can count on.

I like to have a Tesoro for days I just can't swing one of my heavier detectors but the Tejon just did not cut it for me. looking forward to trying a Vaqu.
