First Snow (water) Hunt With Infinium Today Gets First Coin For 2007

Got out this afternoon for a quick test of this new, totally different machine. I hit a couple of snow hills, and they were picked pretty clean. But the hunt was more to familiarize myself with the tones and other bells and whistles on this machine.

The results were as predicted, lots of junk and clad with the high-low signal, and very little with the low-high signal. The possibility of finding any silver coins or rings on a toboggan hill is just about zero. I air tested some other objects, and was pleased to see our one and two dollar coins fit in the low-high catagory, with the silver. :)

Todays hunt also marked my first coin, a newer dime for 2007

Hmmmm, so gold hits in the high-low huh? Scared of that John. I guess not if you just want coins and silver, but those targets are casualties of war. Gold is the main course for the banquet, as it were. Savvy? I wonder how you are going to get around that? Keep us posted on your progress as this unit is quite interesting and not enough info on it. I hear people use it, but nobody shows the loot. Perhaps real pirates don't talk huh? GH

Perhaps if they spoke, they would be killed! It's going to be an interesting year for sure. Mmmm at least 16 weeks before the ice melts :(

You've got yourself a premium detector there, John. It has a reputation for being a little ornery at first but you can handle it. After all, you've worked wonders with that little ACE 250 so I imagine lots of gold in your scoop now that you have the 'Big Gun'.
A TH'ing buddy has an Infinium and he found the learning curve a little steep but he mastered it and gets great results with his now. Your biggest problem is going to be a sore shoulder from digging deep holes down to the good loot that the ACE 250 couldn't reach.
I'd revisit your best spots from last year, once the ice melts. I have a feeling you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you find.

Cheers,
