First silver

i had been detecting for about a week and had never been anywhere besides my backyard. so i am detecting in the front yard and I got a strong coin signal at 6 inches. i dug a six inches down and out pops a beautiful shiny 1964 rosie boy that gets your heart thumpin HH

Congratulations! I dug about 4500 coins before I got my first silver dime. Luckily, I have found a few more since then and you're right, silver coins give really strong signals. I'm still waiting for any Barber coin which I reckon is number one on my to find list at present. Hope you will post some pics of any other interesting finds you make.
