First silver with MXT

Well, I ended up hunting for 30min. during lunch to try out my new MXT. I hit my first Silver Rosie Dime (1958 D). It was about 3 inches down, but didn't get the VDI reading out of excitement.
I keep getting a lot of faint tones that are really deep (10, or 12 inches but the VDI is around 8 or so. Should I dig these repeatable tones?
Any help would be great <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
