First silver of the year

Hit a worked out ball field with the "14DD. Got two silver dimes and 3.5 Wheaties. All where about "8-"10 deep. I love the "14DD especially when the ground is damp.
The dog tag and clad half were also a welcome sight.
HH to all. Scott

<STRONG>What were your settings? I'm planning on using the 14 DD over those large expanses of ground for the coverage. The extra depth will be a bonus.
Good hunting,

For this hunt I tried using the relic mode because I have heard it gets a little deeper. I always use +3 with discrimnate set around 3. I think part of the reason my machine was getting so deep is because the ground is damp. Also, I went a little slower than normal paying special attention to those very faint sounds. Hope this helps. The weather here is warming and I hope for my first silver with the MXT.

I'm hoping you have an early spring and a pleasant April as that's when my next trip that way will be. I hope the silver keeps coming up for you on a regular basis.
