First silver in a long time

I had the day off and the weather was nice so I decided to hit a site I recently
stumbled over in the woods. The location looks promising and I will be back with
a shovel and axe next time, LOL. I did manage a 1941 quarter,a 1955 wheat , 3 bullets
and a Jeep key just under the leaves. It was a very nice way to spend a few hours alone
in the woods. Thanks for looking.

I spent the day in the woods also. Had a great and RELAXING time. Got to love the woods. Nice to find silver too. There is probably more there. Keep at it.

In case you didn't know it the largest bullet isn't really a bullet at all. It is a shell casing from a m60 machine gune but it was made for war games. It is only a blank. It had gunpowder in it but a small red end that I believe was cardboard. I shot plenty of them when I was in the USAF.

Nice finds on the quarter.

Cool, I really had no idea what caliber it was but did know it was only a casing, Thanks for the ID
It only said L C 68 on the bottom .

Made at Lake City Armory in 1968. I know that you knew it was a casing. I wrote that wrong. I didn't know if you knew that it Never fired a real bullet. It is of caliber 7.62 or in civilian terms a 308 rifle

Silver is always nice. That's hard for me to come by around here.

Sounds like a promising site.

HH,

congratulations, echostar. i just knew you would hit silver. you had a whole lot better day than i did! i didn't hunt today but had to work, ughhh. glad to see you get some alone time, it helps the soul. nice pile there though! and i bet there's more there. hh,

Thanks GrayGhost , Im going back tomorrow if the weather is still
nice and take my camera, Maybe I can get a pic of the same snake
that cut my hunt short
