finally ! started mding late last summer . went to a vol fire dept today that i used to live near, knowing before they built it there were older houses there.herd also there was a plantation there but did no research on that . day started off kinda crappy lots of junk and a few clads. on way to car had a jumpy tone. about three inches down on its side seen the silver from the 1889 seated dime . then after a brief celebration scanned hole 1 more time to find the shield nickel in the same hole just lying there . not sure on year but made out the stars around a five and after a little research on the net figured what it was. got it soaking now lets hope i can get a year out of it it is in pretty rough shape.i put in in olive oil if that's not right please reply that is what info i found on cleaning it. happy hunting all looking forward to heading out in the morning.
