First Silver Coins

I found these two silver quarters last week. Also found 10 wheat pennies and a bunch of clad I didn't include. Gotta love pulling those shiny silver coins out of the ground! The quarter in the picture that is by itself was found at a small beach on a lake near my house and the quarter with the other misc. things is from my grandma's yard. The strange tube looking thing in that picture is actually an old lipstick. I cracked it open and it is dark purple. The ring is an american airlines souvenir I believe they gave to kids on flights.

Oh yea, I meant to ask your guys opinions about that hunk of iron on the top of that picture. The possibility of it being a meteorite crossed my mind. Anyone ever found one?

Love that silver. Congratulations.

Nice job...and congrats on the silver. I just found an AA junior pilot ring a few weeks back. The pilots used to give them out to boys back in the 50's and 60's, maybe even earlier. The stewardess rings were given out to the girls and I think are a little harder to find. I thought those rings were really cool even though they are junk. Funny thing is you can buy them on ebay new from some one that found some NOS at an estate sale, must of been an old employee of AA or something but the pics in auction were cool to see what they originally looked like.

Nice group of finds. Kind of like a yard sale, "little bit of this, a little bit of that". Gotta love those kinds of hunts. What type of detector you using?

Great hunt, quarters seem to be s little more difficult to find based on the fact that they were a little easier to detect with post or vintage detectors!

Popping silver coins will put a smile on your face.

Way to go!
