First Silver coin

I went on about a two hour hunt 4 p.m. to about 6.30 p.m hit my first coin about four or five targets in.
I pulled a coin out of the plug without my pro pointer because I carelessly left it at home. The surface of this
dime sized coin was so smooth I could not make it out. I continued to metal detect this park until 6.5 p.m. Once
we arrived home, a short jaunt from the park about a mile, we cleaned off the smooth dime. The dime turned out
to be a Seated Liberty I'll try to post a picture later its in pretty rough shape, but it's still exciting to finally nail down
a silver coin. This park yielded a 1909 Indian about three weeks ago the last time I hunted it. :garrett::pulltab::clapping:

No there is no mint mark on the Indian, and there are notches all along the outside of the
penny. At first glance you would almost think they were suppose to be there. I believe the
notches were carved there intentionally.

Thanks, I just wish I could read the date.
Yeah my oldest coin was a 1800s it was a seated liberty.
It just would have been better, if I could say my oldest coin so
far is a1876 seated liberty dime. George S
