First silver and wheat of 2009

Got out for a quick hour or so hunt today. Decided to check out a place that I have hit several times over with my Ace 250 and had found a boatload of wheats and several silver coins. So curious, I headed out with the XTerra 70 to see what I had missed.

First target was the 50's wheat. Made me feel pretty good. It was about 5 - 6 inches deep.

Next good target was the Mercury dime. It was in the same depth range and only about 3 feet from the first target.

After a few junk targets, I got another good penny reading. Sure enough, out pops the 2nd wheat.

All in all, I was mighty glad. There are a lot of deeper targets there that seem to be pretty jumpy, but due to time constraints I kinda cherry picked my signals today.

Glad I was able to get out and even more glad that I found some silver!!!

WTG beetle. I'm glad to hear that the X-70 is working out for ya. It won't be long before you'll be finding that 1800's coin. Dig them deep iffy signals.

Yeah... i didn't want to get stuck on a hole today with the short time I had to get out. I will get out there and dig those up soon. This place was an 1800's cabin before it got remodeled in the 50's and finally torn down a few years ago. I should have most of Monday free if things work out so I can spend the time to dig those deep ones.

Nice finds. You may want to ck them iffy singnels! Thats how I found my gold ring.....
