[attachment 264124 DSCN0369640x502.jpg][attachment 264121 1940sNickles.jpg][attachment 264120 1946Dime.jpg]Hi All, Praise the Lord, Spring has finally come to West MI ! Had an excellent day at my favorite ball fields: 20 dimes including a 1946 Rosie, 5 quarters, 1 nickel, and 13 pennies (12 copper, 1 zinc). In the past few weeks I've unearthed a 1944 and 1948 nickel. Do these nickles have any silver content? HH, Roger

Nice finds. I think that on is a 1941. They had silver in them from 1942 - 1945 that is why yours does not have the silver look. Here is a link to caculate the silver in a nickle.http://www.coinflation.com/coins/silver_coin_calculator.html

Congrats! Now go get some more!
