Went this morning detecting at a new site, found a couple of wheats. So after a little while headed to an old burnt down hotel where I've never found anything of interest or value, this place has been pounded through the years by anyone that buys a metal detector. I went a little futher into the edge of the woods and got a faint silver sound 80-81 about 8" deep and dug up my first ever seated and my oldest coin to date. 1887 dime. Blowed my mind. Sorry about no pics, still haven't figured out how to put them up without being blurry. I was very, very ,very HAPPY.!!!! At my age (63) I really didn't know if it was ever gonna happen. Town I live in was established around 1865. so not really old by any means. Thanks and happy hunting....

Congrats! That's a great find and you'll always treasure it.

WTG Joe. Hope you can post a photo soon. If a bonehead like myself can figure it out,(photos), anybody can. I don't mean that in a bad way. A seated dime is on my wish list.
