The wife wanted to go detecting today for Mothers Day, so she picked the site, she found first silver, a 1948 Rosie, I wasn't having much luck so I moved to another part of the park, it was a good move, in my first plug was an 1890 seated dime in fine condition. I went nuts and had to run to my wife to show her my good luck. We also both found a couple of mercs and I pulled a spelling medal dated 1927. It was a good day of hunting indeed!!!!!!!:twodetecting::minelab::coiltec: if I can get a good picture I'll post it.

Man that is nothing but great, really happy for you. I'm beginning to to think we may have created a Monster when we talked you into switching from Brand X to Minelab and then into the Platypus Coil. I can see by your finds over the past few months it paid off for you. Way to go

My first one was also a seated dime ..... what a nice feelin when you see'm popin outta the ground....Hope many more from that spot..

my wife is my detecting partner, she actually got me into the hobby about 20 years ago, we had a couple of Compass machines, where4 does the time go?

jb, thanks for calling me over to dig wheats a couple of years ago, I might still be using the XLT if it weren't for the coins that you could hear and I couldn't.

My wife wants to go out some time. So this summer I will be taking her out and see if she likes it.

WTG 69................:) That is what I have been wanting to find for a very long time is a seated coin. Tell you what, you take me to this place you found that seated and I will take you to that place where you said that you would help me whack the brush down. I'm serious about this and if you want to send me a PM then do so. Have you got a picture of your seated yet? HH,

Eddie

Eddie, I'll take you to the exact spot that I found my seated if it would get me a chance at that old building site, actually it's not a secret spot, I've been there a dozen times and this is the first time Bev or I had found silver other than rings. :minelab::coiltec::twodetecting::wave::detecting:

One thing nice about your wife as your hunting partner,it's easier to get out more often. mine is a coin vaccuum. she always gets more targets, and sometimes gets the good stuff and I get skunked. But its a friendly competition which adds to the fun of the hobby,I hunt the out of the way areas and find more junk, but sometimes pays off with silver, especially in some places that we've hit over and over.
At the end of the year at our clubs, we compete for points by our finds, it seems that we are always seperated by only a few points, and usually one year she'll beat me and the next I'll get more points.
