First Seated and First half dime!

New member
I have had a few fake-out tokens that had me thinking I had a half dime, but yesterday I really got one. It came out of the ground completely encrusted in black, and after an electrolysis treatment, it came clean enough to see. She is in pretty bad shape, but it is the first seated liberty coin that I have found and my new oldest coin 1872. Thanks for looking and good luck out there, you never know what will be in your next plug! HH!

jcooking quote:"She is in pretty bad shape" She looks beautiful to me Jon. Big congratulations on that half dime. They are so tiny, aren't they. Honestly, I've had to scroll up to see her several times while writing this. Thanks for posting and HH, Nancy

Congratulations!! Every old coin I've ever found doesn't look pretty, but made me very happy. I've yet to find one of those seated dimes, after 3 years and over 35,000 coins found. HH.

Congratulations Jon, any Half Dime is a great find........:clapping:

Thanks a lot guys! It sure was fun to find and so small. HH!

Very nice finds!! Congrats on the half dime!! I would have to agree with Nancy, you can still see its a half dime...that alone makes it beautiful :clapping:
