First Scout Clasp

Found my first scout neckerchief clasp today. At a school I have hunted at least 15 times, about 40 hours. It was an odd signal, a high tone, but with a 68-74 vdi. Something I normally wouldn't dig, but this one seemed different, and I wasn't finding much. I was getting pennies in the same range too. Must be because it is soooo dry? The clasp was about 4 inches down, and a huge surprise.

I have never found one of those, though I have worn them. Think if I went through some of my crap, in boxes, in the basement, could even find it. Nice find, looks old. Artie

I thought it was copper, but now believe it is tarnished brass.

It's a wolf cub scout necker chief, I am a cub scout leader and have to carry a detector with me occasionally to our meetings to find these for the kids that lose them while outside playing. They cost new between 5-10 dollars and yes they are brass.
