First run with new ATPro at a nearby park

Just got back from the park 2 blocks away, very very trashy. I worked around the trees and along the grass slopes where people sit, picnic and chat. I came away with this for 2hrs on 1st run.

1 dime, 2 nickles, 14 pennies and 1 of them was American. Strange thing is, this park was built in 2009. Yet the oldest coins I found was a 1974 penny and a 1979 nickle. HAD to be from the house lots that used to be here from before the park was built. I got a few signals in the 90+ range, but they were down about 8"+ on the pinpointer scale. I remember their location and when I get a PROPER tool for digging good plugs I'm gonna see what they are. I hope its silver coins, cause the oldest house around this area was over 80 years old.

The AT Series metal detectors are about the "BEST" detector that I have ever used. Once learned how they react to Canadian coins, no matter what mintage year, you can pretty well get them all while still leaving a lot of the junk targets behind. The combination of audio and VDI numbers in the Pro Mode are the success for the finds.

And congrats on a fine first hunt.:super: It looks like the AT pro is already doing it's magic for you.

Yea I've been wanting this detector for awhile now, its lightweight, easy to use and doesn't take long to start telling if its a good signal, bad or falsing. I need me a really good Lesche digger tool, was one signal that I said was down about 8"+, it was ringing at 91-92 steady. But if I had tried to dig it I'd have made a REAL mess of the grass. I know where it is though and I plan on going back with a better digger and seeing what it is. I'd settle for just a silver quarter, but a fishscale might be sweet ;)
