First Rosie and Silver Bracelet

Old coin hunter

Well-known member
Found both of these yesterday at a new lot i got a permission for. Neat story about the bracelet. After i got it cleaned up and could read the name i saw it was owned by the dad of a girl i graduated with from our local high school. What is odd to me is that it was still clasped and was found six blocks from where they live. I found his daughter and will try to contact her today and get it back to her. He passed away in 2002. HH and Merry Christmas. Jim

I’ll bet being still clasp it was in a coat pocket or on top of a gym bag etc etc. I firmly believe that people get busy, take off their jewelry to work or play sports, it gets dark or they get in a hurry and forget about it and take off and the items simply drop. At the intramural sports field that I hunt you can almost see the paths they take back to the dorms and thats where I’ve found most of the jewelry that I have found. I wonder if the number under his name was a military ID number? Mine was my SSAN but the inlaws were something similar to that. Nice save, will mean a lot to the family.

I found the youngest daughter of the man whose bracelet i found and called her this morning. She just happened to be traveling by the town i live in on her way to another city and just now stopped by and picked up her dad's bracelet. She and her daughter and son inlaw were beyond happy. Glad i got it back to the family. HH Jim

The feeling you get inside outweighs the two cents you think you were ahead with the possession.

Good Christmas presents for both of you and a grand way to start off a new year. Good job! HH Jim tn
