First Ring!!

I found my frst ring today with my Deleon. This is a really good machine it has just taken me some time to get used to it. I can tell every time I find a Zinc penny. This indicated nickel but the reading was funny. Anyway dug it up and this is what I found. It is yellow metal and I cannot read what it says inside, the stone is clear. Probably not worth a thing but my daughter thinks it's pretty and wants me to get it fixed. The stone fell out in my hand when I took it out of the ground. Sorry for the black and white photo but my digital wouldn't focus on the ring. The nickel is just for size purposes.

Nice find. I once found a ring that I thought may be junk. Ended up with a nice 14k ring and over 1 carat of diamonds :) Clean her up and show it off !!

Congrats on your ring. I've found a few with mine and they all read as silver.
If you get a signal that jumps around in the good range or from good range to pull tab, switch to All Metal and swing slowly over the target in an X pattern, give the machine time to work. If the reading goes to Cent-Silver, you know it's a traget worth digging. If the reading goes to pull tab-iron, probably not worth digging.
I usually run the discrimination just under Nickel. If I get a signal that need a little investagation, I'll drop the Disc down a little above Foil.
She's a good machine.
