Ahhh much better on the PC where I'm not restricted on how much text I can type!

Anyway we just decided to go swimming Sat evening. It was 97 degrees and I wasn't about to complain about heading some place with water. Evidently we figured out another trick to beating the crowds of summer...go later in the evening. There was only 3-4 other vehicles at the beach; most everybody else was tired from swimming all day. We had it pretty much to ourselves. At any rate I still struggled big time with scooping up the targets. I even painted my coil a florescent green and that didn't help any for visibility. I think I'm gonna try painting it hot pink or something and try that lol. The ring was actually my 3rd successfully scooped target of the evening. I thought I was getting another coin and imagine my surprise when I looked in the scoop and saw this big ole honkin' thing in there. Dude must have had a big ole finger; its at least a size 11. It had evidently rained earlier in the day up there; there were these lil black biting flies that gave us fits. I eventually quit detecting because of them...they liked my orange shirt. Either that or it was past time for my monthly bath. Hahah. I am liking this water hunting more and more though. As a relic hunter I've not dug many of them...I just don't go places they were lost. So its a nice treat...even if it isn't worth much, its a start. Most all the guys I work with have this kind of ring though; seems this tungsten has gotten very popular.

Don't feel bad about target retrieval. I've been water hunting for years and sometimes I'll spend 15 mins. or so trying to get one up. Sometimes, they just slip right off the front of the scoop and you end up chasing them all over the place. Nice Tunger you got tho. If that's there, there's some gold ones!! BTW, what a BEAUTIFUL place to hunt!! WOW!!
