First ring of the year!!

Jackpine Savage

Active member
I have been hunting the beaches up here in Northern Michigan for a couple weeks and today I got my first ring of the year. I would have settled for gold for a 'first'.

Rang up like a tab. What's up with square shank rings anyway?

.53 troy oz. PT950, 14 Diamonds

very nice first ring. Mine was gold but a toe ring and very small 10k no ice. Your is much nicer. I get excited when I see a ring in the scoop.

[attachment 155991 IMG_0430.JPG]14k with three diamonds...:detecting::minelab:
that is a nice find..
heres mine for the first for 2010..

I appreciate that you were hoping for gold but Plat with Ice is still pretty good. Very nice ticket in any pirate's scoop.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Hi JS; You found better than Gold. Plat with 14 ice. is very sweet. We drool over platinum,Thats a paycheck bling for sure. Great Job. PEACE:RONB.

ooooooh!!! congrats!!!!

Looks like an un-common ring.

I am still searching for my first plat. ring (or anything of platinum for that matter!)

Well done,

CJ

Hey CJ,

Fortune has smile on me regarding Platinum rings having found 3, however it has taken 10 years and thousands of hunt hours. Gold is still the 'bread and butter' for us Surf Pirates..

After a bit of checking I found out it is call a 'squared shank' ring. The idea being that it will not rotate on the finger keeping the diamonds showing.

Yours will come!

HH Tom

Hello Jackpine!! Was this in the water or on the beach?? I am in Port Huron and haven't tried to brave the water yet!!!

SUPER NICE!!!!!!

Hi John, Thanks!

Remember the day we met and hunted? Yup, that's the beach it came from. It was down a ways in the sand so might have even been there then. We shoulda hit the dry sand that day rather than freeze our azzes off wading in that cold water..
