First Relic hunt using the GPS/Mapping feature

It has been several days since I have gotten to hunt. I am getting more and more comfortable with the CTX and thought it was time to check out another feature on the CTX

Nice recoveries Evan. And thanks for sharing the shot of the mapping feature. I've done a similar "study" along the beach and couldn't believe how far "off course" I wandered. I had a couple questions...... what was the zoom factor used in the pics? That would give folks an idea of the size of the area you hunted today. And second, more on a personal note......any chance you could send me a screen shot with the Latitude and Longitude in the pic? :poke::lol: HH Randy

I was zoomed in on the second to last(20m or 100ft there is one more notch that is closer), I hunted a separate area to the left of the screen but too much info was in that shot..:look:

Very cool how long did you hunt did you have wireless on too and did you notice if the battery went a lot faster using the GPS. Was wondering how long you could hunt running GPS and wireless basically every thing running.

This reply is not from Gonehunting, but I use wireless and have the GPS on all the time that I use the machine. Yesterday, I had a hunt that last lasted 4 hours or so. I used the machine about another 30 minutes this morning for some things. I just checked the charge indicator, and am only down one bar. This battery is very good at maintaining a charge for a good length of time. And when it does need recharged, it only takes 2-3 hours at the most...........

I had it on for 3 1/2 hours and had used it the day before for a couple doing some programing.. I used wireless and Gps the whole time.. still have 2 of the3 bars...
