First Relic Hunt For This Year.....Got Yet Another Token:shrug:

Not sure why I am getting so many tokens this year. But, they are keepers. I hit an old part of Edmonton close to downtown. The ground was still about 70% frozed, especially in the weeds and shady areas. I was rewarded with a bottle, which I have been searching for years. I have seen many broken pieces of the one I got, but today was the the first! I say a partial bottom of a bottle sticking out of the ground. I carefully removed it and there it was. In good shape they are selling for around $50.00. I am going to see if I can date that bottle with the numbers underneath.

Very cool! You sure do get a lot of tokens!
And I love old bottles! I've got a small (the wife would argue "small") collection going. And a bunch I need to clean.

Good recovery in that hunt.
Congrats on the bottle.

Like the bottle and like finding them....usually by accident. what kind of bottle is it? HH jim tn

Your a token magnet john....congrats! :drinking:

I hear a jealous Armadillo in the background.
I love the old bottles you just happen to find from time to time.
I have made two bottle collectors very happy. I gave each of them an old soda bottle to give to their father. In each case the father drank from the New Haven, CT soda bottles when they were kids. The stoppers were the neat part of the bottles that were found in the ocean in-tack.

So much history from researching the tokens...a great past time for when you have to hibernate...not now when you can get out and find them.

The cigarette case is almost enough to make one want to start smoking. Neat!

Nice local history on the bottle, John! :drinking:
