First quick hunt with Coinmaster GT

Bought a CM GT and went to my local elementary school for a 45 minute hunt, results as shown. I have lost count of how many times I've been here, it seems there always something new being lost! Most of the finds were in the shallow totlot mulch, I think only 3 were dug in a soil area, the corroded quarter was on edge. IDs were stable on all finds and pinpoint depths displayed accurately. The multi-tone is going to take some adjustment time, I do like the all-metal mode with the audible threshold hum. I couldn't get near the playground equipment at all with the 9" round coil, even with sensitivity way down. Any tips on how to deal with that are appreciated. Overall I'm favorably impressed, the balance of the machine is good and it is definitely sensitive.

2nd hunt today with the CM GT, this time for about 90 minutes around a soccer field. Best find is the .925 ring, my first large silver ring! I was running multi-tone and got the nice high tone, reading about +85. All finds were fairly shallow, less than 4" deep. I think I need to learn the screwdriver 'coin popping' extraction method since digging is slower and most of the coins are shallow.

only way to get in close to tot lot equipment is to go with a smaller coil, the standard coil is ill suited for in close totlot hunting and will miss targets that are tight next to playground equipment.

My wife has the coinmaster GT pro and she has hit pennies at 8 to 10 inches. She loves the auto tracking ground balance.

So what are your thoughts on the coinmaster GT i love the coinmaster pro i own a v3i but thinking i want a coinmaster GT as well..If its is ANYTHING like the coinmaster pro i bet this is a great machine...BTW NICE FINDS

A third hunt from a couple of weeks ago, this one also around a sports field, turned up more clad and another silver James Avery ring, this one says "True Love Waits". The silver ring registered in the quarter range.

It looks like the CM GT is going to be a keeper, I am certainly pleased with the results so far. I have no complaints about depth. The ID numbers and multi-tones are a bit jumpy so that is taking some adjustment time. I like the all-metal mode too with the threshold hum, even if the hum sounds a bit 'digital', or 'synthetic'.
