I was Haleiwa boat harbor and A friend of mine told someone had lost a wedding ring earlier and could I try to find it. I went looking for the couple and didn't find them, I told my friend I would get my gear and return .i returned an hour later and as I was setting up I was approach by the couple. They pointed out the area and I went in the ocean, the whole beach just happen to know what was going on and watching. After about 10 min of looking I got a new tone and put scoop in the water and bang there was the ring, I handed it to the guy and he started jumping up and down in the water and the whole beach stood up and was clapping, I turned bright red and exited the water to pats on back and hand shakes. The couple keep thanking me and I told them that this is what metal detector do, it's not all about being greedy like tv, we are alway there to help when needed. They offered me $200 and I said no need just glad I could help find the ring. About half hour later a friend of theirs approached me and said that it is their custom to reward people that do good deeds for them and it is a insult to turn it down so please take the reward. They reproached me and offered me money again, I only took $100 told them it was plenty. This was my first platinum ring with my CTX 3030 and a great experience for me.
