I have found many Gold and Silver rings and jewelry but never any Platinum...that is until this morning. I had just arrived at the beach, surveyed the water, and just headed in. Literally about 20 steps in and in just over knee deep water I get a solid 52-53 VDI on the AT-Pro, showing approx. 4" deep. Figuring it was probably a broken off pull tab I scooped it up. Low and behold...I see a silver colored ring in my scoop! I start to get happy..the numbers were right I think....where is the mark. I was figuring 10K white gold...well to my disbelieve...I read "Platinum". I let out a wimpy "yes...woo hoo!" I found 2 junker rings yesterday and looked for a third ring thinking third time is the charm. Well it was a day late...but oh what a Charm it was! I stayed another hour and a half and found $1.32 in clad. Perfect conditions, the water was like glass this morning.

It is a Camelot branded ring so it is 95% Platinum...all their rings are.

Wow... that's worth a little over $400 at melt price. Way to go!

AWESOME! :clapping: You really dedicated yourself to this sport, and are doing us proud! Yes the big lake was flat as glass until about noon today...this lake is either huntable, or not...and mostly not! Good for you to take advantage of one of those huntable days!

She was pretty calm tonight on the South side of the pier. I worked it for about an hour and a half. Not much, real quiet. Managed another $1.65 in clad an a nitro earring. If its calm tomorrow I will try it on the North side. I can't get over that 2 days ago the water temp was 80, now its 65...back to waders.

Killer payday man! Thanks for posting the VDI #'s. Glad to see they fall right where nickels do :)
