If this works, how do I get it into my profile ?

Pretty sure this is how it goes.

Go to "Set Preferences and on the left, close to bottom, click on "upload photo" then click on Browse, pick your photo like you did for the thread and then Upload. Now you have one more thing to do for profile. Once the upload is accepted, click on Choose Profile Photo again at the left. You will see a dot in the "No photo", place your cursor in the other circle and click. Hope it works for you...
