First outing with Cz 7...

on an overcast day.Got out for 2& 1/2 hrs in the evening to test it out.30 minutes in my backyard produced a 1952 nickel and a penny. Its been hit very hard.Next, a school yard, got a total of $ 5.46 including 1 half, 10 quarters, 18 dimes, 10 nickels and 16 pennies and what looks to be a contraband pipe for smoking the illegal junk. The cz performed very well as all cz's do, hot on nickels and quarters and dimes.Gave up on one good signal that was way deeper then the depth meter said it was as I couldnt locate it.The delay on the pinpoint wasnt a problem and the detector was very well balanced.had an enjoyable time, just wish I couldve got out longer.Hope everyone else had a good day:)))

Why the rodmount CZ didn't catch on especially when they went to the CZ7A that corrected the slow pinpoint and battery drain when not in use...Although heavier than a traditional CZ sure is balanced nice and batteries under the armcup last a long time. Must be a lot of bodymounters out there or at least those that wish to have the ability to rodmount if they wish...With your CZ experience since 92 should serve you well although many believe the CZ6A was the best CZ ever made..so now you have the best of both worlds analog or digital....Surprising how many have both but either way a nice machine that has stood the test of time especially your CZ6 that you had converted to the CZ6A....and came out 13 years ago...

Yup, that's a pot pipe alright. I've found several of them, plus what I believe is called a "pinch hitter", a hollow tube that would be packed with the stuff, then lit. Both were painted to look like cigarrettes, so the person doing the smoking could do that in plain view, as long as you weren't downwind.

Yep Dan,
the 6a has always been my favorite but I like the ability to notch out certain targets also.I was thinking the cz7 would be heavier as I had one some time ago for a short period but it is very comfortable.I got it at a good price for a cz and didnt want to spend the bucks on a uopdated one.Hope you can get out if the weather permits:))

CZ7 or 7A weigh about 4 lbs and a convential CZ about 3 1/2 lbs so indeed weight is one thing and weighting and ergonomics another as the heavier rodmount units is easier to handle for most..
