As promised I took the 3030 out in first since getting it back the first hunt was 6hrs and produced a gold badge pendant 6.0 grams 14k I will be looking to make the return! the coin count was 156 total with 1 silver quarter 54 quarters 34 dimes 32 nickles 33 pennies 2 tokens and 1 foreign. The very thin pendant thing was a nice loud signal for its weight. The second picture is the next tide and I dug another 71 coins Timex watch beat up. The last picture is of the last 10 days minus pennies which number about 200 Not all the coins on the last picture were 3030 finds

Don, I think I could have squeaked out a few more targets but I had to relearn PP all over again. The beach is a different place than the dirt. I can get the target out of the sand/hole but once on the beach its a different story. The coil will pick up the target 6in from the coil so its more than a 3ft circle.
(11+6=17 x 2 = 34 inches) As you know in the dirt once out on your towel its a hand pin pointer and your done. Using the PP feature while racing against the tide time is not really an option. Besides pulling that trigger is a nuisance for 150 plus targets. Can't possibly use a PP on the beach, defeats the scoop and go. I had my Go Pro on for more than 2hrs but the language was not post able! there were several times I made 6 or more attempts to retrieve a coin out of the hole only pushing it further on the sand. But after 10 hrs using the 3030 the last few days I pick up on the tell tail double beep when centered over the shallow target. Its kinda like a Pennie the almost always double beep fast while still in the ground, providing they aren't 12 inches deep!

What did the pendant ID as?
I remember I forgot to post that. The number was 12-21 but it's really not the number that ever matters! When your out digging hundreds of targets, its the sound/tone ID that alerts you to potential gold.,then I am looking at cursor placement. The ID on the beach this is is all over the place. I am pretty sure its do to the loose sand strata. I have quarters reading 12-44 thru 12-40 and 11-46 thru 11-40 with some other number thrown in for fun. same goes for dimes 11-45,11-35,12-45. Nickles are the same as well 12-11 thru 12-14 with a few at 11-14. Then add those pesty pennies depending on there corrosion they fall in any of those same numbers. But there tone is unmistakable above 10 inches. But I still dig them one never knows! But when I dug the gold its tone stopped me in my tracks and I looked at the meter placement along with the number 12-21 I knew it was different. I wasn't surprised it was gold when I looked in the scoop.Same holds true for 12-02 thru 12-09 stops you in your track if you in the water wet sand as light foils and cake trays don't hang out in the sloop/water area. Then the depth will clearly alert you to go as it's rarely at 2in.
