First old coin with the AT pro.

Was at a park we hunt all the time, 165 acres. Was getting depressed because I have not found much with the Pro since I got it but was running it in all metal pro and digging all solid signals, 4 inch signal, 60-61 no other numbers. Dig down, 1903 V nickel! Not much to some here, but it was my first V nickel and my first old coin with the Pro. I know people will ask about the 60-61, but when I dug it up i was vexxed as well and put it on the ground and it read 50-51.

Our ground here is strange. Never been able to get it to GB below 85. Not sure why. One old campground we hunt it GB at 88-89. It is a sandy dirt soil mixed for about 5 inches and deeper than that it turns into BRIGHT orange sand.

I read that after I GB, I can lower the GB about 10 points to help pick up silver signals, anyone experience this yet?

Is my ground to crazy for the Pro since my ground is such an odd high GB number?

Congrats on your find !!!!!!

you can back the GB off to find silver, however, it does mess with depth. It's like turning the high beams on in a fog. Having said that, it can really make silver sing and I have found a lot of "on edge" silvers this way. congrats on the V nickel!

there is soil in my area that approaches your GB. i have found stuff in that soil, so, keep doing research and working the ground...they will come!

Black loam soil here GB's between 85 and 92 always.

My ground balance is about the same any where from 84 to some time 90, but the PRO works great in it. I also run MAX SENS. with no problem.

Nice find on the V nickel! If you can find that, you will certainly find Silver once your coil is over some!!
