First old coin found with my Ace 350

Ral

Still learning how to use the new Ace 350 as I only had it a little more than a week. Dug this 1888 French coin up in a wooded area next to a tot lot. Not much but I like it. Has anyone been to the beach with the Ace 350 yet? I am planning to take a ride on Saturday to try it on the salt water beach and wet sand.

That's a good one there Ral ! Be tough to be beat that with a new detector,
Best of luck at the beach. You should be able to cover a lot of area with
that nice coil. Hope you hit it big !!

Nice old coin, French or not, old is old!! As far as the beach is concerned, not sure how the 350 is gonna act. The DD coild should give it more stability, but lowering the Sens. considerably may be required. I'll be trying mine at the end of the month on the beach at Galveston.

:usaflag:Nothin' wrong with that old coin....awesome find.!

Nice old coin. Let us know how you do at the beach. I'm going to try it on some of our freshwater beaches here that contain black sand and see how it works.
