First Night Hunt 2006...About As Expected...

...no gold and darn few targets, but definitely picking up and I did manage to find a peculiar silver earring.

I was surprised to find what little I did, especially since the surflane vacuum named David From Suffolk had already hunted UP the beach as I was heading DOWN. I hit it from just north of the pier at 15th down to about 4th street. I was there about an hour and a half before the 3:24 low tide and maybe an hour after, then I packed it in and enjoyed an hour of roller-blading at high speed on the fairly empty boardwalk. I think things will be picking up detecting-wise after today...there's a lot going on down there and we're poised for a beautiful beach day.

Here's a few pics. Don't know what the heck that earring is supposed to be but it's silver so I'll take it.

Same, buddy. I'm surprised we didn't see more, but I guess some are still using my old trick...wait until the other guys start finding stuff. :)

I just got tired of waiting. I'm over the land hunting thing until the Fall and even if we don't find a whole lot just now, it sure is awesome being out there at night...can't beat it.
