first months finds with excal II

sflsweeper

New member
This is my first finds with my new excal II... I am a newbie to detecting and now have the fever. It was not difficult to learn the machine but I did have an issue with the detector not working so I had to send it back to minelab. After a charge the detector did not turn on so I have no idea what the issue is but the battery was fully charged.
These coins are all newer coins nothing old yet.

Very Nice Finds Congrads!! Obn

Sweeper, I am new to the Excal. and curious have you found those in Salt water or fresh, or beach dry or wet sand, at what depth of water and what did you have the machine settings at.
Great Job!!!!!!!

Gerry

Really nice rings. Congrats

I love the gold tone the Excal II puts out. Music to my ears.

Hey Gerry, I found most of the items at the beach in water between 3 and 8 inches, this was in a lagoon with one opening to the ocean so it fills in high tide and gets super shallow at low tide where lots of people picnic and party. I really do not recall what the settings were on most of the items because I was trying to learn the machine. I can tell you what settings I found the rings but it makes absolutely no sense to me yet (newbie). I had the dis at 4 and sens at 5 for one ring, then I found another with the dis at 8 and sens auto(gold ring). The only difference was the gold does have a different sound than the coins or the silver. Hope it helps.
