First month with the Manticore.

These are my best finds from my first six hunts in January using the Minelab Manicore. All of these came from the same place, a local lake swimming area. I haven't found any gold yet but it's not from not trying The amount of trash and lead is slowing my coverage down, so far, I've dug over 14lbs in lead fishing weights lol
I haven't taken it to any older sites because this place has produced and it very close to home. I do have some challenging spots lined up when I finish up at the lake.

New site, shallow targets, digging loads of crap= treasure Any machine would finds this stuff.

That guy who makes bullets will be able to fight a war if you keep that going! But, the real treasure really is in the hunt, isn’t it? I recall finding my first Morgan and thinking to myself…”What now?” It was literally somewhat of a deflating feeling, the dog had caught the car. But then a few days later the urge returned, and I realized that I just liked chasing cars, like you like chasing gold. Go get that car!

Kevin, I know exactly what you mean. It's more of the challenge of finding a small desirable item in the haystack, than the item itself. It helps to like digging holes too
The guy that saw the lead trash was more impressed with that than the rings and coins lol.

Thanks Mark, not as impressive as your finds over and over. Yep, my go to line if someone was to raise hell lol. I've been lucky, seldom does anyone say anything negative to me, most are curious as to what I'm finding.

Dan, that is a TON of digging, and plenty of good stuff there, too, as a reward, INCLUDING the 14 pounds of lead! You are learning your machine quite well, given all those targets!

Thank you Steve. One of the positives of these swimming holes, nothing is that deep due to the hard pan just below the gravel and rocks. I carry a prospectors pick and simply scrap the spot and use the pinpointer, recovery time is very quick.
