First Merc AND IH today

Huntin buddy Bruce hitched us up with a nice area today,old cellar hole with tons of stone walls for fields...we both got IH pennys,he got 1860 something,mine was 1905 and pulled out first Merc at end of day right in roadway..Bruce missed it, so i grabbed..:devil:..only kiddin Bruce.Got one old button,few buckles..not sure on them..a cast iron cap gun from 1907,says colt on back side.Got a whatzit gonna post to right of cap gun,very ornate and thin.Horse shoes going up on shed..is that redneck behavior?:cheers:Not sure what thing is next to button but posted in case someone knows...Curt...check out whatzit forum to tell me what that ornate thing is...thanks.
 
Congratulations on your firsts. What great finds! I love the horseshoes and gun too. Can't see the whatzit since it's so small. Maybe a bigger picture? Thanks for sharing and thanks for keeping us posted. HH, Nancy
 
Hey Curt, I didn't miss that dime, I left it for you to find. LOL. Yep, you were one up on me today. I didn't find anything cool like that cap gun either. Hopefully I'll make up for it on the next hunt. :ranting:
