First Loony!

Metalpickle

New member
I think I'm finally getting the hang of this beast they call metal detecting. Have to say it feels pretty good. When I first started out in May I was very cocky and thought I was gonna retire in a mouth after buying the damn thing. Lol. Thanks to this site though and spending a lot of time and effort I'm really learning one dig at a time. Respect all around guys and girls! I'm so hooked. Wish I could quit my job.
Found my first loony last week and some clad. This week I found my first ring. I believe it's copper but it doesn't matter because I found it and now it's mine. Kinda feel like a pirate. Bring on the hunt.

I started detecting in March and got the bug too, so I know how you are feeling. Congratulations on the loony. Does a loony ring up like a quarter?

keep those "loonies" and' toonies" comin'
just sayin!

The looney is a good find, but that ring is great! Glad you are getting the AT pro mastered. It really has some great features! :)

Comes in about 81 if I'm remembering right. All I really recall is the ATP going off big time with that sweet hight tone lol

Congrats on your first loonie. Sometimes they are a scratchy signal (toonies too) because of their metal contents. I remember I was surprised when I found my first one.
