First License Plate ever issued in United States..

This is the First License Plate ever issued. Massachusetts #1. II is made of metal, with Porcelain finish. Issued in 1903. It is chipped, but should read, MASS AUTOMOBILE REGISTER. Massachusetts started dating them in 1908. This is a photo a friend sent to me. I have seen the plate in person, about thirty years ago. It is Priceless, and I believe still owned by the original family.

I suspect it is worth a ton of money. I use to have a few old license plates hanging in the hay barn, but left them there when we sold the old home place and moved into this city. They were from the 1930's and were badly rusted. Thanks for sharing. :clapping: Kelley (Texas) :)

Alaska 1921, 1922, Even though Alaska was not an official Sate till 1958? License plate Collectors want the first years issued, same with Hawaii.... Yukon and eastern Canada are tough also...
