First Infinium LS Find

Besides bullets that is.
I love this machine!!!!
Found an old gold panning pan at about 2 feet deep in a large
gulch today near Yuma, AZ. Quite happy with this machine's depth and performance. Its just what I needed. Put my gold bug 2 up to lend out to friends, won't be needing anymore. Been out 4 times with the LS and am thoroughly sold on it. Used the 8 inch double d coil and still got 2 more to try, the largest double d, and the monoloop.

Thanks for the heads up on the Infinnium. I have kept an eye on that machine since it came out.

I'm very interested in the infinium. I glad you're having success with it and wonder how does it work in trashy areas? is it suitable for relics? how does the discriminator work?
Good luck, Mike T

Love my Infinium in the water and wet sand as long as there isn't too much iron. Have the 8" mono-coil that works great also. As long as you ground balance it correctly it isn't too noisy. Don't know about relic hunting with it and hunting trashy areas but a smaller 5" coil is available. A tech support guy I talked to at Garrett said it was the deepest machine Garrett makes. Check out posts by Willy who liked it also, but got tired of the high-low sounds. Again, ground balancing it carefully greatly minimizes the end-swing talk. The low sounds that I have dug so far so are either iron trash or a quarter, but a quarter has a slightly different and stronger hit than iron. Fresh iron and bobby pins give a double high-low hit in sequence. All the good stuff and pull-tabs, can-slaw,etc. hit high-low. It hits nickels a lot better and deeper than my Excal. It is pricey, but used ones show up on E-bay once in awhile if you want to take a chance. Bottom line, it is my first choice in the water if there aren't too many bottle-caps and trash.

Mike,

It is definatly a relic machine and the discrimination works great. I have mine with me in Florida right now with a 8" mono loop. You can drop out bobbie pins at 4 on the discrimination. I never discriminate any how but the iron check feature works as it is advertised. The Infinium is a great P.I. machine.
