First impressions of the Tiger on the salt beach

Well so far i have got out a few times with the Tiger Shark on the beach. Dry and wet sand as well as in the water waist deep. The machine is a work horse and will produce. The discrimination is very fine in adjustment. Some of the high doller discrimination machines have some form of ID but its so wide your going to dig it anyway. The depth seems to be on par as well as finding small stuff. It will false in the water and surf but you can tell a good signal from the little false squaks. The only real problem im haveing so far is getting it to balance on the wet sand. I may have to adjust the internal sensitivity to see if this will work. Next time out is going to be a controled setup and testing and we'll see how it go's.

Nice finds!
I had trouble getting mine to balance at first in the salt too. In frustration, I turned the dial several turns to counter clockwise from where I thought I should be balancing in an effort to ensure I was all the way on one end of the balancing spectrum. I then and then started turning it 1/2 turns back clockwise between each test. I was finally able to find the sweet spot. I do have to balance it as I move from damp to wet sand and also when I get on a couple really iron enriched beaches. This is usually only a 1/4 to 1/2 at the most now that it's balanced.
