First impression on the 9" HF coil, Great now can't wait for the elliptical!

Wow!

That's an understatement, the 54 kHz is going to opened up iron laced sites.

Was comparing weak signals masked by iron, using 14.4 khz then 28.8 then 54 khz and right away seen the advantage of using 54 khz. It clearly sees through iron better than the other two, in some cases 14.4 came in as iron both audio and visual. 28.8 was better but it too would ID as iron or near iron but fare better than 14.8 khz. Clearly, Using 54 khz enhanced both audio and visual. These signals were masked by iron, but using 54 khz you will see and hear the difference on those extremely tough signals masked by iron.

I'm looking forward to the elliptical, with the higher kHz I wonder if it will see though the iron even better than the 9" using 54 khz. Remarkable, Any heavy Relic hunters out there having the HF 9" coil please see if you notice a difference using 54 khz, use it in thick iron see if you can get those targets near the surface masked by iron.

Was using the Hot Program, and there may be a better program but for now that's what I went with. Here's my setting's.

Disc = 6.4
Full Tones
Sens = 75 to 95.....depended on area, low sens for trashy areas with iron then higher sens out in the cleaner areas.
Frequency = 54 kHz
Iron Volume= 5
Reactivity = 2 to 4 depending on amount of iron
Silencer= 1....... didn't mess with it so left it with preset 1
Audio-Resp. 4 to 6 played with it but haven't determined what's best for me
Notch = 0

In areas with thick iron, depth is not an issue, so using 54 kHz with lower sens you'll pluck out those masked signals with ease. Go back to your pounded sites, those that have the HF 9" coil and are relic hunters put this coil on old soil laced with iron it won't let you down.

And Thank you Charlene and Andy! Appreciate the help and great service, top notch all the way!

very interesting. keep us posted. i thought those HF coils were only for finding gold nuggets but if what you say is true then that could be a game changer.

It Will be a game changer, the 54 kHz enhanced the weaker signals masked by iron. If I didn't see or hear it wouldn't have believed it, hope others with similar sites having the HF 9" coil test this out.

First, find weak signals masked by iron using 54 kHz, then shift down to the other two 28.8 and 14.4, notice how these signals become even weaker especially 14.4 kHz sometimes giving the impression of being iron both audio and visual.

Will get out in two weeks, take a long drive up to gold country hit some old relic site's. Can't wait!

Interesting! I am going to give her a shot as I too was thinking gold shooting.

Took it out for gold shooting training (Waltdwiz training me) and it def works great for that, now I gotta see about this.

Thanks, and please keep us posted.
