First IDX pro find

I just added a beautiful IDX pro w/mods to my quiver so I decided to put on the royal 800 coil and take it for a little test drive in my backyard to get a feel for it. Third target dug was this incredible ornate little buckle at 3". It's approx. 1/2"w. x 1-1/4"l. It has very detailed sunburst engraving around the entire buckle. The picture doesn't do it justice at all. Three areas on each end appear to have been inlayed with an orange/red ceramic or glass. Some of it is left as you can see. No marks or writing on the back. It is thick and heavy for its size. I believe it's either copper or brass. It gives a VDI of 78-80 on my MXT. I'm not an expert but the styling and workmanship appear to be 19th century Victorian era if not older. This may be my oldest good find to date. Any info or help on the ID or dating of the piece would be much appreciated. I guess I found a good partner for the MXT on my future hunts. Does Whites make any bad machines ? Doubtful. Thanks.

P.S.- Thanks Del ( D&P-OR ) for a great deal on a superb machine and coils. ( He even put new batteries in it before he sent it to me...unreal ! )

Nice find scott

You're going to like that IDX Pro, just set the ground balance a 'little' positive and crank the sensitivity all the way up (with stable operation). You will be surprised at how deep it will detect and with good trash separation, Good luck at that new place you're hunting!
