First hunt with the Spectra V3

sniffer

New member
driving along noticed this 5 acre field being ploughed, asked for permission ,OK the farmer said, put the V3 into relic mode, and slowly made my way across the field, firstly the detector was very stable, some power lines gave a little chatter but OK to carry on ,my finds bag was holding several George111 pennies and a shilling of Victoria, after about 2 hours a sharp signal different to all the others ,about 4" down produced the find of the day a hammered coin of Alexander 111 King of Scotland,a few hundred years ago,for my first trip out everything went smoothly no problems

Very Nice!!

Very nice indeed! Now go out and find some old coins to post,Ray:detecting:
PS If I lived where I could search for ancient coinage like you have I would be divorced in no time at all.

Outstanding finds!:surprised:
