First hunt with the PRO

Took it out on its (and my) inaugural hunt to a small pond beach. According to the Parks & Rec dept it is a well hunted and well fished beach. Needless to say I didn't get rich but found a bunch of interesting "junk."
One dime - 2001
One Lincoln penny
One rusty screw
One brass button - 9 inches deep
The eye of a stuffed animal
Two fishing hooks
Two lead sinkers
Three bottle caps
One pull tab
One switch blade about 9 inches down - undoubtedly used for fishing tackle. A Switch blade!!!!
One fishing lure
One pull from a zipper
I showed my finds to a couple moms so that they would appreciate my being there and getting these sharp items off their beach.

This beach is loaded with junk (and possibly treasures) so it will be a great place to learn the AT Pro. It was making noise all over the place and I wondered if it was working properly.
So many of the readings registered as 10" deep. I had only a hand scoop and quickly realized I needed a shovel.

So far so good!!

Welcome to the AT Pro forum. You got a great detector too! And you did pick a great beach to learn your detector. You will learn what the junk targets sound like, what the good targets sound like and the differences. And you get the possibility of getting some gold too.

Don't stop digging trash either. We all dig lots of it. We just don't post it because its ugly.
