First Hunt With New F75

Went relic hunting today with the new F75. It was my first hunt with this machine. I ran in JE mode, F7, Disc varied between 0 an 5, Sensitivity 99, 2 tones, Ground ranged from 55-70. I was comfortable with this detector very quickly. I was hunting in a place I have hunted many times. The last time I hunted there resulted in one bullet. I dug the bullets in the photo in addition to multitudes of other good signals that were screw caps, camp lead, pieces of brass, buck shot, shotgun shells, etc. The audio communicates very well. I can tell the longer you listen to this thing the more the sounds will tell you. It was smooth and the depth was good. There was one deep minie ball that I was able to find with my probe before disturbing it. I measured it at 14 inches. I can see that depth will not be a problem. I am very pleased so far and am looking forward to getting to know this detector.

wow thats awesome..I tried F7 for a bit today..I have read its good on relics and in interference conditions..Here in NC its hard to run JE and the sense up..lots of minerals..WHAT state are you in..and dirt conditions..thanks and congrats on you finds and the F75..its a sweet machine..

cool thanks..I'll think to check the fe0..the next time out..mostly GB around 80..But Je seems to pick up more minerals and iron ore..

Your first hunt went very well. I am glad you are not disappointed. Your "first time" experience was a lot like mine: surprising! Now, let me know how it does on shells. Give me a call if you have further questions, but it sounds like you are well on your way dude. Thanks again.

I think it's going to do well on shells. This particular field has about a 3" gas line running through it about 3 feet in depth. The F75 nearly blew my headphones off my head when I passed over that line and it was a sweet high tone and reading. I go shell hunting down in south, LA in two weeks. I'll know better then.
