took my new cz3d out today,and man does it love nickles..the take was 14 nickles,3 wheats,a bunch of newer clad,a complete necklace with pendant,and some sort of light lens i think!!so far i'm liking the cz..thanks for looking

still using the same coil,if i keep tension on the cable at the connector it works fine,if i leave any slack in it the meter jumps all over,will be buying the 10.5 inch coil in a few weeks,if it still does it than its the coil connector on the machine and i'll send it in..if it doesn't first texas will replace the coil..
 
I'm trying to remember if the CZ connector has the metal spring on it. I think it does. Pull the spring out some. Sometimes the strain relief spring will slip up to far into the connector and short it. Pull on the spring real good and see if that doesn't fix your problem.

Thanks for the info..i tried a second coil and it did the same thing. so first texas sent me a new unit..but if the problem happens again i know know what to try..
