first hunt with G2

Went out for 2hr. hunt tonight to a place i had hunted 6 or 8 times with other detectors. This lot is about 50x75, i got a dime and two pennies a small car and a old lock. I didn,t think there was anything left. I have pulled 5 silver dimes and lots of wheat's out of this lot. Once i learn the G2 better i will go back in all metal mode, and bet i get more. I have used lots of detectors, but think i fave found one i like. I just have the 11" coil and it dose a good job. Flintstone

Can anyone that use the G2 tell me if you can stop big iron from making a high tone? That fools me alot, is there a way to stop it or make it a low tone like small iron?

Big iron will overwhelm any detector. No way to avoid it.

I have experience on the GB Pro, which ahs the same guts as the G2.

Soverieign nulls over iron. Falsies on edge of iron. Not a good detector to use in trasy areas. Now there are some nice iron relics too. I like digging those to see what it is. I'm very happy with my Tejon and look forward to more Tesoros.

Thanks guys, i think i will like the G2 after i use it some. I like to run it hot, but that iron akways makes a good sound.
